
PEERS® is an evidence-based Social skills program for autistic adolescents and young adults, youth with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other socioemotional challenges.
How it works:
This internationally acclaimed program teaches important social skills to make and keep friends and develop romantic relationships.
During each session, participants learn social skills and are given the opportunity to practice these skills in session.
Participants receive assignments after each session and have the opportunity to practice their newly learned skills in their own real world.
Parents and/or carers attend separate sessions throughout the program and learn how to coach and assist their teens or young adults in making and keeping friends.
Parents and/or carers work with the PEERS coach the foster optimal learning and help expand their teen’s or young adults’ social network.
The program consists of 16 sessions, which are delivered on a weekly basis.

Appropriate use of humor
Organizing get-togethers with friends
Electronic communication
Dating skills
Handling direct and indirect bullying
Strategies for handling sexual pressure
