This consultation with parents will help you plan for and put in place adequate supports that improve the outcomes of your autistic child as they transition to and experience adulthood.
How it works:
It is a consultation process to explore your unique situation, and generate options and steps to increase functioning and well-being.
It provides a framework to keep development at the forefront, plan for and put in place interventions accordingly.
It allows you to focus on areas with the greatest impact on functioning and succeeding in post-secondary education, having a satisfactory social life, finding jobs, and living independently.
It can be used to improve and formulate quality NDIS plans, university or TAFE equity or access plans, or disability employment supports.
We help parents:
-
Create a roadmap, and prioritize where to spend energy and resources to achieve meaningful goals.
-
Trouble shoot when feeling overwhelmed and collaborate on a game plan to break through current challenges. Identify and try out practical strategies for changing behaviours (both theirs and their child’s).
-
Get on the same page and improve communication with their child as they transition to adulthood. Parent for independence.
-
To improve your child’s prospects and enable a satisfactory participation in adult life.
